Akhet - the inundation (June-September): The Flooding Season. No farming was done at this time, as all the fields were flooded. Many farmers worked for the pharaoh (king) instead, building pyramids or temples. Some of he time was spent mending their tools and looking after animals.
Proyet (October-February): The Growing Season. In October the floodwaters receded, leaving behind a layer of rich, black soil. This soil was then ploughed and seeded.
Shemu (March-May): The Harvesting Season. The fully grown crops had to be cut down and removed before the Nile flooded again.
This is what I have to far... it doesn't give exact dates though.

Okay, we have to send in PMs of what season we were born in according to the Egyptian calendar. From what I gathered, the Egyptian seasons are Akhet, Proyet, and Shumo. I am using the LUNAR calendar. *wink, wink*
Akhet: August 29th - December 26th Proyet: December 27th - April 25th Shumo: April 26th - August 23rd

I am finding nothing else except those names and the Flooding season, Harvesting season etc. Names... so I have no idea what they are.

Flooding Season is Akhet...
Growing Season is Proyet...
Harvesting Season is Shemu...
At least that's what I'm coming to. They aren't the civil calendar names either, they're the names the farmers gave them. So I think they should count.
